Nepal through to next round of World T20 Qualifiers

Nepal secured their berth to the ICC World Twenty20 Asia Finals after confirming a top-three finish at the ICC World T20 Asia Qualifier ‘B’ in Malaysia.

Nepal won their fifth match of the league today against China to solidified their place at the top of the table. The top three team will qualify for the regional finals, and two of the three teams are confirmed with Singapore also joining Nepal with as much as wins.

Nepal will now join UAE, Kuwait and Qatar in the regional finals from where top two teams will qualify for the final round of World T20 Qualifiers.

Nepal defeated Myanmar and Malaysia by eight wickets each very conveniently followed by 140 runs thumping of Thailand. Similarly, Nepal defeated Bhutan by 117 runs and defeated China today by 10 wickets. In the course, Sandeep Lamichhane took 20 wickets in just 5 matches.

Nepal will now play the final match of the group in October 12 against Singapore.
