Nepal face host Bangladesh in last group match

Nepal plays their last group match against Bangladesh. The match will be played at Bangabandhu National Stadium.

Nepal had won one and lost one of their two group matches whereas Bangladesh had won their both matches. Bangladesh is on top of Group A, with six points and need a draw at the minimum against Nepal to secure their semi-final berth. For Nepal, a win is necessary to progress to Semi-final.

Nepal and Bangladesh last time met in SAFF Championship 2013 in Kathmandu where Nepal had defeated Bangladesh 2-0. The goal scorers were Anil Gurung and Bharat Khawas. Anil Gurung is not in the team this time. However, Bharat Khawas is still in the team.

Nepal and Bangladesh had played six times in SAFF Championship, where Bangladesh had won 4 times with Nepal only winning twice.
