Nepali cricket team is taking on Bhutan in its fourth match of Regional Qualifiers for ICC World T20 in Malaysia. With back to back easy victories in previous three matches, Nepali team will be looking to set some records against minnow Bhutan rather than a win only.
Nepali Cricket is far more forward than that of Bhutan. Nepal has already acquired ODI Status from ICC. Therefore, it would be very very tough for Bhutan to play against Nepal. When it comes about setting new records, there comes Sandeep Lamichhane who has already grabbed 14 wickets in just 3 innings, bowling only nine overs.
Lamichhane has around 50% wickets in his name among all wickets taken by Nepali bowlers. Therefore, for the Bhutanese batsmen as well, Lamichhane will be the cruel. It would be interesting to see, how the batsmen will face this young sensation.
In the three previous match, Nepal defeated Myanmar by 8 wickets in just 3 overs followed by 8 wickets victory over the host Malaysia by 8 wickets in 13th over. Similarly, in the match played on Saturday, Nepal defeated Thailand by 140 runs.
