According to Annapurna Daily, Nepal National Football team head coach Gyotoku Koji suspended and is barred to enter Nepal for this whole year (2018). Ministry of Home Affairs has suspended Koji for one year for allegation of ‘Overstay’. According to the reports from Immigration Bureau, the visa of Koji has been already expired and they are planning to send the coach back to his home (Japan) on Friday. Koji is only allowed to enter Nepal only from 2019, January.
Koji has been Nepal’s coach since March, 2016. This sort of problem was arised due to negligence from governing body, ANFA. Koji has been working in Nepal without working visa, according to Annapurna Daily. Koji was granted a tourist visa back in January, 2018 which only lasts for 150 days. And he was found to overstay for 9 days.
Nepali football team is under close camp for upcoming Asian Games and SAFF Championship. Nepali team is set to leave for Thailand today for 10-days foreign training camp.
