Bangladesh women registered their win in the ongoing SAFF Women’s Championship in Biratnagar. The second defeat for Bhutan means they are out of the SAFF Championship making way for Nepal and Bangladesh for the semis.
In today’s match played at Sahid Rangashala, Bangladesh defeated Bhutan by two goals to nil. Mishrat Jahan Moushumi and Skipper Sabina Khatun scored a goal each for the winning side.
After the result of this match, Nepal remained at the top of group A with 3 points from a match and Bangladesh at second with same points but Nepal stays atop due to superior goal difference. Bhutan failed to open single account and weren’t able to score a single goal.
Nepal will take on Bangladesh on 16th March for the Group A winner decider.
