Dipendra Singh Airee and Sagar Pun fired Nepal to the total of huge 323 runs from 50 overs. Dipendra Airee smashed 121 runs whereas Sagar Pun scored 92 runs in their respective brilliant innings. Winning the toss, Paras Khadka opted to bat first with Subash Khakurel and Anil Kumar Shah opening the inning. The openers could not give the desired start as Nepal lost Anil Shah with just 22 runs on the board. Similarly, the other opener Khakurel played 27 dots against 33 total balls he faced.
Skipper Paras Khadka was bowled in 23 runs. Rohit Kumar Poudel was also unable to perform his best. After his wicket, Nepal were 84/4 in 19.3 overs. The came in the partnership of Dipendra Singh Airee and Sagar Pun. Sagar Pun was recalled in the squad. He was dropped from the squad for the first ODI series against Netherlands. However, he was able to made comeback in the team as he was brilliantly performing in Malaysian Premier League. He continued his that form today as well. He and Airee made total partnership of 185 runs. Airee scored 121 runs from 96 balls with 9 fours and 5 sixes. Similarly, Pun made 92 runs from 83 balls with 8 fours and 3 sixes.
Nepal is currently in Sri Lanka for training came for the upcoming Asia Cup Qualifiers 2018 in Malaysia. The qualifiers will take place from 29th of August with Nepal taking on Oman in their first match on the same day.
