Manang Marshyangdi Club (MMC), the most successful club in Nepalese Football history added yet another silverware in their name as they were assured of ‘A’ Division League Champions with two games still to play.
In their 11th match of the league, they defeated Sankata Club 3-1 to continue their unbeaten run to 11 matches. In fact, it was their winning runs of 11 games and still counting.
MMC has 33 points from 11 matches and the second place Sankata Club has 25 points from same number of matches. Similarly, third placed Three Star Club has 23 points from 10 matches. Stars can get maximum of 32 points from all their 13 matches which won’t be enough to beat MMC.
This will be MMC’s eighth title. They were also the champions in 2070, 2062, 2060, 2057, 2046, 2044 and 2043. Similarly, Rani Pokhari Corner Team (RCT) has won six times with NRT and Three Star winning 4-4 times each.
